After a steady start in the month of January this year, when the Indian mobile market saw a handful of smartphones making their way, smartphone makers are looking to switch the gear now. And this is because, a lot of phones are slated to be launched this month. The smartphone business seems to be getting back on the track after a long gap. Of course, there was several month’s delay in the production and the services due to the prevailing pandemic condition but now the situation has improved a lot.

Previously, the companies took online route but again switching to the usual and traditional offline route as the mobile market is bouncing back to normalcy slowly. Mobile manufacturers have scheduled many launching events this month. It’s true that the rumor mill has started churning out leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming launches, but here is the most authentic list of smartphones likely to be introduced.

It is expected that a whole lot of upcoming smartphones will see the light of the day this month. True, many of these phones can prove to be game changers. If you’re looking to buy a flagship phone, then it is better to wait for the Xiaomi, OnePlus and Micromax, coming with their top-end phones. The Moto Edge 30 Pro, iQOO Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup can be credited for bringing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC to India. Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus has decided to finally launch the Asus 8Z in India and despite all the delays, it could be still one of the most promising compact flagship phones in the market.

And the good news is, most of the phones belong to budget segment, below 20K. Let us have a look at all the confirmed and teased smartphone launches in the month of March, 2022.

Xiaomi may launch four smartphones with special features

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro: In an event, Xiaomi may launch Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. These smartphones were originally unveiled globally back in January and are expected to retain similar specifications. Colour options for the Redmi Note 11 Pro include Sky Blue, Phantom White, and Stealth Black colours. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G will be available in two variants: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. The device is expected to be priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,999, respectively. The two different versions of the smartphone will have 4G and 5G with different processors.  

Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G: Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G is expected to come in Mirage Blue, Phantom White, and Stealth Black colours. This smartphone version is also likely to come in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants and will cost Rs 21,999 and Rs 23,999, respectively. The Note 11 Pro+ 5G ships with the Snapdragon 695 SoC.

Similarities in both the phones: The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ 5G flaunt a 6.67 FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Both phones have a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The phones have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies. The phones run on Android 11 based MIUI 13. These smartphones were launched in China, much earlier. Here in India, the series was launched in the name Xiaomi 11i. Thus, Note 11 Pro series in India would be quite different from what was launched in China. It’s true that the latest 5G phones are making compromises on performance or display but this phone has no such disadvantage. The display is no doubt, of a flagship level.

Xiaomi 12: This upcoming smartphone May come with a full-HD+ display. It may also feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC along with 100W fast charging, On the camera front, the smartphone is expected to sport a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It’s a compact phone with 6.2-inch AMOLED display, having 120Hz refresh rate. The price may be around Rs 30,000. Its pro version will be equipped with more advanced processor and expected to be priced anywhere between Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000. This could be the biggest bet of Xiaomi this year in the Indian mobile market.

Poco may come up with two phones

Poco X4 Pro 5G: Poco may launch two variants this month in Indian market. The phones include Poco X4 Pro 5G that is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC. Poco X4 Pro 5G on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 108-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor. The phone has a 6.43-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It comes with 8GB of RAM. It was launched in Laser Black, Laser Blue, and POCO Yellow colours. The Poco X4 Pro 5G runs MIUI 13 and is based on Android 11. It packs 256GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card. It is a dual-SIM mobile and sensors on the phone include fingerprint sensor. Many customers in the market are waiting eagerly for this Poco version, available in Rs 20K bracket.  

Poco X4 GT: The smartphone is embedded with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 MT6893 processor and a Mali-G77 MC9GPU. It boasts of a large 5000mAh battery. The RAM and internal memory of the device are 6GB and 128GB respectively. It features a 6.67-inch IPS LCDdisplay with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The refresh rate is 120Hz. The POCO X4 GT comes with a triple camera system on the back with a powerful 64MP primary sensor, a 8MP wide angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and an LED flash. On the front, the device has a 16MP selfie cam. The device is supporting auto Focus, Auto Flash, Continuous Shooting, Bokeh Effect, Exposure compensation, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), ISO control, Touch to focus, White balance preset to name just a few. This top-class phone may be available anywhere between Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000. However, this phone is a bit disappointing for the gamers.

Samsung may launch 4 smartphones this March

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G: It’s an upcoming mobile that is expected to be powered by an octa-core processor. The device comes with 6GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is based on Android 12. The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is rumoured to run Android 12 and is expected to be powered by a 6000mAh battery. It can be expected to pack a multi rear camera setup. Its processor is quite strong, a good news for gamers. Samsung Galaxy M33 has a high refresh rate of 120 Hz with super AMOLED display.    

Samsung Galaxy F23: Samsung Galaxy F23 5G is expected to be powered by a 2.21GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor and comes with 6GB of RAM. The device is based on Android 12. It’s a great successor of the Galaxy F22 in India in the coming weeks. This is also a mid-range smartphone.  

Samsung Galaxy A53: Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is an upcoming mobile which is expected to come with a 6.46-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is rumoured to pack a quad rear camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 32-megapixel camera, and a 5-megapixel camera. It is suppose to sport a single front camera setup for selfies, a 32-megapixel primary camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. The smartphone is rumoured to run Android 12 and is expected to have a 5000mAh battery. It may be powered by an octa-core processor and may come with 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G runs One UI 4 and is based on Android 12. It packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable.

Samsung Galaxy A73: The smartphone may have a 6.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It is supposed to be based on Android 12 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. Samsung Galaxy A73 comes with 8GB of RAM. It is set to be launched in Black and Gold colours. It is expected to pack a quad rear camera setup featuring a 108-megapixel primary camera. It is rumoured to sport a single front camera setup for selfies.

All the Samsung company mobiles mentioned here are 5G phones with multiple bands options.  

Micromax is launching Micromax IN Two

Micromax In 2: Micromax In One was a strong phone in the range of 10K and now its advanced version, Micromax In Two will surely beat its predecessor. It is likely to be based on Android 11. The Micromax In Two is rumoured to pack a triple rear camera setup featuring an 8-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel camera. It is said to sport a single front camera setup for selfies, an 8-megapixel primary camera. The device is said to run Android 11 and is expected to be powered by a 5000mAh battery. The device may have a 6.50-inch touchscreen display. The phone may be available in the range of 10K and it clearly means, the true value of the money. The clear interface is an added advantage. At the top, it’s an Indian brand phone. All in all, it could be a game changer.     

OnePlus is suppose to introduce two smartphones

OnePlus10Pro: The phone comes with a 6.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440×3216 pixels. It has 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 10 Pro on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel camera . It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 32-megapixel sensor. The OnePlus 10 Pro runs Android 12 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports proprietary fast charging. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The gen-next phone has unique design that attracts customers.  

OnePlus Nord 2 CE Lite 5G: OnePlus Nord 2 CE Lite 5G is likely to come with a 6.59-inch display. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM. So, your wait for the mid-range OnePlus smartphones ends here. The performance is good, however, keep some disadvantages as well in mind, before going for a purchase. The user experience may not be as good as you expect.
