Yes, you have heard it right, it is shocking but it is true that the Vivo X80 Camera has surpassed the DSLR camera. The huge camera island behind the phone actually dominates the image quality clicked by DSLRs to some extent.

The Vivo X80 camera comes with flagship features and with the launch of this smartphone, Vivo has delivered what it has promised to its users — A camera with ultra-high resolution.

Vivo X80 is launched with a bunch of camera features including those interesting features that I haven’t seen on any smartphone before in this price slab.

I have been using the Vivo X80 camera for many days and I tested it in many different environments. In this post, I will tell you about what I like the most while using the Vivo X80 smartphone.

Let’s click an absolute immersive masterpiece with Vivo X80 Camera

Do you want to know what’s the future of smartphone cameras?

Camera

With the launch of the Vivo X80, it has upscale its smartphone camera game to quite an extent. The Vivo X80 camera comes with a quad rear camera setup with the combination of Front 32MP/ Rear (50MP+48MP+12MP+8MP).

This mobile phone is equipped with a V1+ Image Processing Chipset which helps to click the shots in microseconds. The smartphone’s four lenses are packed with loads of features, including night portrait, cinematic mode, gimbal stabilisation, 5x optical zoom, Dual-View Video, super moon mode, a horizontal line feature, and more.

Vivo X80 camera set-up makes it the best in this category and certainly, it is the most extensive when camera features are considered. The output of its cameras is really interesting and provides features like horizon stabilization which keep the video upright even when the mobile is turned.

Look at the pictures that I have clicked in the past 10 days, the colours, contrast, details and dynamic range everything is up to the mark. The camera setup is capable of capturing all the details in the frame and creating results like a DSLR camera. Some images are genuinely looking far better than the image captured by DSLRs.

So, why take a DSLR camera with you, just take this phone and click the perfect DSLR like images on the go.

The smartphone has come up with optical image stabilization features that allow shooting stable and quality videos without using any gimbal device. Vivo X80 camera features include a cinematic filter that also works while shooting videos. The phone captures the same ultra widescreen format and produces artificial bokeh around the subject that looks like a real film.

If we talk about the selfie camera, it comes with a 32 MP and a versatile lens which provides smooth results without overly whitening the images.

When I was using Vivo X80 camera features, I felt that I am using the most advanced camera setup available on the market. To fulfil the promise to the customers, Vivo has used Zeiss hardware with the combination of its advanced AI that experience all the more fun and easy to use.

Design, Display and UX

The first thing that attracts the attention of anyone is its distinct look. This mobile phone is ergonomically designed that feels very light in weight while holding. The back panel is impressive and its fine-textured finish gives it a premium look. The power and volume buttons on the sides are just perfect and can be easily accessed.

When it comes to display I would say, this is where Vivo has done an outstanding job. The 6.7 inch E5 Amoled Display offers excellent viewing angles and perfect blacks. It works perfectly well in sun time and low light modes. The in-display fingerprint works smoothly and having a 120Hz refresh rate made this phone quite smooth as expected. It offers a very classy holding experience and its curve edges put a cherry on the cake.

Performance and battery life

The overall performance of the Vivo X80 is out of the box. It is loaded with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor and UFS 3.1 storage which offers no lag while using multiple applications together. This smartphone is fuelled by a 4500mAh cell with 80W fast charging support. The battery support is quite interesting and I was able to refuel it in 45 min only.

Another interesting thing about this mobile phone is that it has a smart switching option between refresh rates. Suppose you are not using a 120Hz refresh rate, it automatically comes to the 60Hz refresh rate which indirectly saves the battery and enables the phone to run for a long time.

The phone has resolved the heating issue while playing heavy battleground games. It starts heating initially but it is packed with a vapour chamber cooling system which cools it down quickly.

Audio quality & others

The audio quality of Vivo X80 gives you an immersive sound experience and it doesn’t hurt the ears even when playing at full volume.

The haptic feedback has also improved as compared to the other mobile phone models of Vivo, you won’t feel to off it while using. If you are typing and pressing any button, you will always feel like using a premium category smartphone.

This smartphone comes with an IP53 rating which makes it completely splashproof and to some extent waterproof also. If water gets spilt on the phone, it can easily bear it but don’t put your phone in water intentionally.

Final Verdict

After using it for some time, I can answer the question “Can Vivo X80 Camera capture DSLR like photos?”. My experience with this mobile phone was amazing. It looks good and gives you a premium hold quality. It has a brilliant display, blazing fast performance and is probably one of the finest cameras I have used in 2022. Since it feels like a proper flagship in all aspects, it would be the best android mobile phone choice in this price segment.
