The dates of the annual Apple WWDC events are finally here. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Apple WWDC on 6 June 2022 will again be hosted online. The event will end on 10 June 2022. Many rumours have surfaced about what Apple will announce this year at their event. The expected items include various Apple operating systems, such as macOS 13, watchOS 9, and iOS 16.

Apple WWDC on 6 June 2022: Dates Announced
Apple’s annual event, WWDC or Worldwide Developers Conference, has been scheduled for 2022. The event will be online from 6 June to 10 June. Apple has invited all interested developers to attend this event, as there is no entry fee.
The last two WWDC events were also held online, and they have been quite successful. This year, the focus is on Apple’s software development. It is expected to see significant changes in watchOS, tvOS, iPadOS, and iOS. Attending developers will also get access to various Apple technologies. They will also get the opportunity to learn about developing applications with highly interactive interfaces.

Even though the event is online, some offline presentations will also be present. In addition, students and attending developers can visit the Apple park during the event to experience it themselves.
With limited offline seats, Apple advises booking the seats as early as possible. The booking steps and details will be presented on Apple’s website soon.
The Apple WWDC on 6 June 2022 will also have “more information sessions, more cutting-edge learning labs, more digital lounges to engage with attendees, and more localized content to make WWDC22 a truly global event.”, as quoted by Apple.
Expectations from Apple WWDC on 6 June 2022
Software platform development seems to be the main focus this year. New software versions such as tvOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, iPadOS 16, and iOS 16 are expected to be announced with their developer betas.
Speculations about hardware are also present. Apple may launch their newest M2 chipset Macs this year as well. Details regarding M1 pro chipsets may also be present. Moreover, Apple will also conduct the developers’ annual design award events online.
