Samsung Tab S7 Plus with SD865plus – A Laptop Replacement? Quick Review

Samsung has launched another variant of its Galaxy Tab S7 with a major upgrade and new features – Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. A new colour variant (Mystic Navy) is released at the price of ₹ 65,999. Samsung Tab S7 Plus is considered the best Android tab in comparison with every other tab. This tab supports 5G, and it provides an experience similar to a Laptop or PC with an expendable display.

Samsung has been working very hard to make its Android Tab superior to Apple’s iPad. The company has been working with Google and Microsoft to deliver various software and apps designed for tabs. This tab comes with a low latency S pen, which enables the users to use the tablet even more effectively. This tablet comprises almost everything a user needs and can be used for many purposes like watching movies, playing games, office work, etc. Let’s have a deep look at the reviews about its different segments and trace the value of it.

Build Quality and Design

This tab’s thickness is 5.7 mm, which is very slim, and it has a metal build solid body. It weighs 500 grams, and its colour is very attractive. It has an attractive and decent design on the front and a dual-camera setup at the back with LED flashback. It has clean finishing and a top-notch display. This tablet looks premium with its solid body, and it is rectangle shaped which means it can stand on any side, unlike Samsung Tab S6, which is curved shaped.

5.77mmThickness – Samsung Tab S7 Plus

With the higher price of this phone, there must have been some changes made to its design, but nonetheless, this phone comes with the glass build quality and wooden glass protection. It has matte finishing back with only 170 grams weight. This phone is handy, slim and can be used with one hand for long hours due to its frame’s round edges, which makes it comfortable. You will get a hybrid SIM tray and slot for a microSD card which is there in Vivo V20 as well. It only comes with two Nano SIMs slots. As compared with previous models of the Vivo series, this phone is quite nice and upgraded.

Display

This phone’s display is old-fashioned, just like Vivo V20, due to the dual front camera, which gives a wide notch. It has a 6.44 inches display with HD and AMOLED panel, which is covered by Schott’s Xensation Up cover glass. But the main disadvantage with the display is that there is no high refresh rate, whereas OnePlus Nord has a plus point in this segment. You will get a normal 60Hz refresh rate with this phone. Overall, this phone is power efficient, lighter and slimmer as compared with OnePlus Nord. The brightness of this phone is 600 nits with 400ppi which is quite good.

Performance & Software

Here you won’t get any issues regarding this phone’s performance as it uses Snapdragon 756G, which is quite a good SoC. This phone is also efficient for gaming, and no lagging has been seen on this phone so far in these 3 days. Moreover, there are no heating issues, even after playing a game for long hours. The app performance and battery backup are handled very nicely in this model.

AMOLED panel delivers an amazing view while watching videos, and YouTube supports HDR videos. You will also get Funtouch OS with no lagging issues. This phone runs Android 10 and soon will upgrade to Android 11. There is every kind of specialisation feature in this phone.

Other features of the V20 series smartphone are as follows-

  • Dual-band Wi-Fi AC
  • Bluetooth 5.1
  • GPS
  • 5G compatibility
  • 8GB RAM & 128GB internal storage
  • Two Nano-SIMs

Battery

You will get a 4,000mAh battery that lasts for almost 16-18 hours; else depends on your usage. It is supported by 33W fast charging, which is not satisfactory as even with medium usage, this phone required charging twice a day. The battery is similar to Vivo V20, and it should have been improved for this phone. This is the big drawback which you might not like. Moreover, Funtouch consumes more battery which makes the battery drain even faster, and the backup is quite slow as well. Though it does not take much time to charge, the phone backup is not that effective.

Camera

Vivo V20 Pro 5G Camera Setup
Vivo V20 Pro 5G Camera Setup: The main rear camera – with a staggering 64MP – reveals vibrant details that remain clear even after vigorous.

This phone comes with a triple camera setup. You will get a primary camera of 64-megapixel with f/1.89 aperture, the second camera of 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, which is a multi-purpose camera where autofocus doubles up as a macro camera and the third camera of 2-megapixel with a monochrome lens.

The camera is overall fantastic, and there are no issues with it. Optimisation of the primary camera is well handled with proper colour saturation, detailing etc., capturing everything perfectly. The second camera will provide many benefits- it is an ultra-wide-angle, macro lens and depth-sensing camera. But the main purpose of this camera is not handled properly. It does not function nicely.

You also get a 44+8-megapixel front selfie camera, and by using both the rear and front camera, you can easily capture a 4k EIS video. The front camera’s quality is very good compared with other cameras and it also comes with multiple features.

Speaker & Other

The speakers in this V20 series smartphone are not that appreciated. You will get a single small speaker below, and the quality is not that good. It might have been improved considering the price of this phone. Moreover, one major drawback is that there is no headphone jack on this phone. Many people won’t even buy it just because of this single drawback. Talking about sensors, this phone has every type of sensor; there is no compromise in that segment at all. Also, you will get an in-display fingerprint that is fast and performs well.

Conclusion

Conclusively, this V20 series smartphone doesn’t stand for its worth of ₹ 29,990. There is a battery issue, speaker issue, no headphone jack, weak display and more. Overall, this phone is not worth the price and whoever is thinking of buying it, should reconsider. Performance and camera wise it is a good option, but a buyer should compare every feature with its value. If you are looking for a phone for camera purposes, you should go for it.
