  • It has a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 series is the most popular series in the world. However, there’s so much confusion among consumers about this series. It has a total of four models-Redmi Note 11, Note 11S, Note 11T 5G, and Note 11 Pro. The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G is the latest addition to the Redmi Note 11 series. It is the most premium smartphone that aims to replace the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max from last year.

So, in this blog, we’ll find out if its increased price makes it a good buy or not.

Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus Price

The base model of the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G costs 20,999, making it the most expensive phone in the entire Redmi Note 11 series. The price goes all the way to Rs 24,999 for the 8GB RAM+256GB storage. Now, it’s time to see if its specifications justify its price or not.

Performance

The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is the only smartphone to offer a performance increase over the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G runs MIUI 13, which is based on the Android 11 operating system. It is equipped with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G processor, which is more powerful than the Snapdragon 695 5G and Helio G96 platforms. Because of its performance, it has become a popular choice among users.

It offers incredible performance in the entire segment. The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G is the most suitable phone for daily tasks such as browsing social media, websites or regular multi-tasking. It comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of inbuilt storage. You can store various files and games without worrying about space. It supports 7 bands and it is the first pro phone that has 5G connectivity. Even so, the gaming performance is smooth at very high settings.

The major disadvantage to this phone is that it has Android 11. Though it runs MIUI 13, the other brands are offering the latest OS. Also, the company has still not announced anything about the update of Android 12, which makes users unhappy. Another big issue with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ was the heating. It heated up when the performance was pushed, such as increasing graphics intensity on Genshin Impact. All over, it offers seamless and responsive performance while accessing multiple apps. So, if you’re buying this for a phone for watching movies or playing games, this will be the best choice in the price range of 20,000.

Build Quality

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ comes with the finest build quality at the Rs 20,000 price. It has a glossy finish with a splash-resistant dual-glass design. The company has replaced the curved panel with a boxy design. It has a tidy rear camera module and a shimmering plastic back. The phone feels slightly big, but its boxy design makes it comfortable to hold. But if you use the phone for a long time, it may not feel comfortable in your hands. It comes with Gorilla Glass 5 for screen protection.

At the top, there is a 3.5mm jack, an IP blaster, and a noise-cancelling microphone. At the bottom, it has USB Type-C, a microphone, and a hybrid SIM card slot. It gets dual speakers, one at the bottom and one on the top. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side of this model. All over, the phone gives a premium feel and is comfortable to hold & use.

Design

For the first time, the design has changed in Redmi’s note series.

The design is the biggest highlight of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+. It has a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It comes in four colour options: Phantom White, Mirage Blue, and Stealth Black, with a frosted glass back.

The multimedia features of this phone are excellent, with good-quality stereo speakers. The main disadvantage of this phone is that it cannot play YouTube videos in 4K resolution. Not only on YouTube, the HDR content is unavailable on Netflix as well. It means that you can only watch videos in 1080p.The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ screen has a good level of brightness, ranging from 700 nits to a maximum of 1200 nits. It supports 360Hz of touch sampling rate and will indulge you in an immersive way while watching movies or playing games on this phone. However, there’s no smart refresh setting, which you can find on other lower budget smartphones. So, if design is your priority, then this smartphone will win your heart.

Camera

The camera setup of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is quite weird, as the previous model comes with a quad camera setup.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus gets a similar camera system to the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. A triple camera setup with 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP rear cameras. While on the front, it has a 16 MP front camera that clicks some amazing selfies and is used for making video calls. The megapixels of the cameras are high, which gives good-quality images. You will get an image colour accuracy of about 85-90%. In comparison to other phones, the details are not quite as good. However, the low light performance is quite good, but it may take 4 to 5 seconds to capture good images.

The biggest limitation with this phone is that it does not support 4K recording. It means that you can record videos in 1080p at 30FPS only. However, it does have an autofocus feature that helps to fine-tune the focus of the camera.

The portrait mode on the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G does a good job of separating the background from the subject. However, it does not work effectively if you try to capture images from a distance or in low light conditions. Its 16MP selfie-camera feels like the biggest disappointment in the price range of Rs20,000. The ultra-wide angle captures wider pictures, but they still lack clarity, especially in low-light situations. If you want a camera-centric phone, then you should go for other phones in the Rs 20,000 price-range.

Other Features

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 67W of fast charging. The phone gets fully charged in 40-45 minutes and offers excellent battery backup. It also has a unique default feature that can extend RAM by another 3GB.

Conclusion

On first impression, this phone looked very good. But as soon as you keep using the phone, the reality starts to come out. Also, the major challenge is to justify the high price of this phone, which starts at Rs 20,999. The major upgrades seen in this phone are the 5G network and faster-charging speed. But it still does not fit the price of Rs 20,000.

So, if you already own the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, there’s no need to upgrade to this phone.
