Today we will have an ultimate comparison between IQOO Neo 7 & IQOO Neo 6. IQOO recently launched its latest smartphone IQOO Neo 7 on 16th February. It’s a predecessor of IQOO Neo 6 which is already a popular smartphone in India.

The price of IQOO Neo 7 is ₹30000 on Amazon right now dropped from ₹35000 MRP. The IQOO Neo 6 is also selling at around ₹3000 price range. Let’s compare these smartphones side by side and decide which smartphone to buy at a price range of ₹30000.

Both smartphones are designed to cater to gamers and heavy users with their high-performing features. In this blog post, we will compare the IQOO Neo 7 with the IQOO Neo 6 and discuss their differences and similarities.

Design and Build Quality

If you compare the IQOO Neo 7 & IQOO Neo 6 build and design quality then you will not find any difference between these smartphones. These are phones are identical in shape, design and in-hand feel.

The Gizmo Gyan team has also been unable to detect a visual difference during a comparison of these phones. On IQOO Neo 7, the only difference you can discern is the huge sensor on the primary camera. There is a slight reduction in the bezel on the chin, which is a good improvement.

Display

The IQOO Neo 7 comes with a 6.78” AMOLED display at 120 hz which is similar to the IQOO Neo 6 which comes with a 6.72” AMOLED. Both smartphones reproduce good colors and have excellent viewing angles.

The peak brightness of 1300 Nits makes viewing HDR content on both smartphones an enjoyable experience.

The IQOO Neo 7 has an edge over IQOO Neo 6 because of its slightly smaller bezel at the chin, otherwise, you won’t find any difference between these smartphones display.

Hardware and Performance

The IQOO Neo 7 is powered by a Dimensity 8200 processor, which is a flagship-grade chipset and it’s almost impossible to beat this processor in a ₹30000 range smartphone. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 11 out of the box with the company’s custom UI, the Funtouch OS 13.

On the other hand, the IQOO Neo 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor which is a stable processor used in so many smartphones. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone also runs on Android 12 with the Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.

Both smartphones have top-of-the-line processors and ample RAM and internal storage, which provide smooth and lag-free performance. The only difference you can see when you play the game for a long period of time at high graphic settings. The IQOO Neo 7 performs slightly better than Neo 6.

User Experience

Due to its preinstalled bloatware and hot apps and the recommendation to install from Vivo’s store, IQOO Neo 7’s user experience is not very pleasant. Users find this to be spam and are unable to trust the phone fully as a result. The Indians are still unfamiliar with the  Vivo app store and hesitate to download the apps and other stuff from the Vivo App Store.

It’s always recommended to download the apps from the Google Playstore on Android smartphones.

However, the IQOO Neo 6 does not have this issue, and there isn’t any bloatware, which makes it a pleasant experience for its users.

Camera Hardware

Both the models the IQOO Neo 7 and IQOO Neo 6 has a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone has a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

If you look at the samples below then you will notice that the Neo 6 captures better photo quality with good dynamic range while comparing to Neo 7 which over-sharpens the photo and does not maintain a good dynamic range.

The dark areas are well-lit in the IQOO Neo 6, but the IQOO Neo 7 has an issue with dynamic range.

The Neo 7 comes with OIS which means you will get better stability while capturing photos or videos.

Battery and Charging

The IQOO Neo 7 has a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. The company claims that the phone can be charged from 0 to 100% in just 30 minutes. The Neo 7 also has support for 45W fast wireless charging, which is a unique feature.

On the other hand, the IQOO Neo 6 has a 4700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging as well. The company claims that the phone can be charged from 0 to 100% in few minutes.

Is iQOO 7 a better phone than iQOO 6?

Although IQOO Neo 7 is a predessesor of Neo 6 but IQOO Neo 6 is a good choice of smartphone under 30000 price range. Both the smartphones has a similar looking specs and performs very well in our intense gaming and peak performance test.
