With everyone updating their respective parents’ browser during the weekend of thanksgiving, Microsoft has rolled out update of its Windows Phone 7’s OS X client. Zune on Windows is the client at OS X with Microsoft having a simple sync and no-frills client.

As per the details revealed at Apple’s App Store, Microsoft’s new update offers several feature additions. Microsoft has launched custom ringtone support hence from now onwards users of OS X can include ringtones without Zune to their Windows Phone 7.
However, ringtones requires being lesser than 39 seconds and not over an MB. Microsoft’s latest update log states that now clients can support 13 additional languages along with drop and drag support for Browse window.
Client of the WP7 Mac for a while had Aperture support in addition to iPhoto sync and iTunes. Aperture is Apple’s image editing software for photographers.
