In Black Friday 2011, shopping season, smartphones is the hottest gadget. As per InMobi, mobile ad network’s latest report, more holiday shoppers are likely to make use of their smartphones to shop this Black Friday.

As per the survey, over 60 million mobile phone users will be using their smartphones for making best deals on Black Friday while 21 million mobile phone users will do so for directly purchasing goods from their smartphones.
The number is far higher amongst Cyber Monday shoppers who are tech-focused. About 42% shoppers are planning to use their mobile phones for shopping gadgets and electronic goods.
These days smartphone has turned into an indispensable tool especially for holiday shoppers as they are often making use of their handsets for reading reviews and comparing prices in stores.
As per the survey, 45% shoppers this Black Friday will make use of their smartphones for comparing prices while shopping from 22% the previous year. Shoppers also make use of their smartphones for checking both store locations and hours before entering the mall.
Retail giant Wal-Mart has off late introduced new iPad and iPhone apps which enables customers for checking inventory of its local stores at the time of the holiday season. InMobi had conducted the survey on more than 900 mobile phone users in US on both iOS and Android devices.
