Japanese auto biggie Honda India’s much awaited mini wagon Brio will land Indian roads later this month. Brio is scheduled to be launched on September 27. With this hot quotient, Honda is all set to grab the country’s small car segment.

The company had earlier failed to make a mark with its previous small car Honda Jazz. The Honda Brio will be available in Indian showrooms within a price range of Rs 4 to 5 lakhs.

The auto maker is leaving no stone unturned to make this small car a success in the Indian market. The Brio promises to be more energetic, cheerful and lively.

This mini wagon will initially be launched in a petrol version while its diesel version is likely to be launched sometime in the near future. It has specially been designed with inputs from more than 100 Indian engineers for the Indian market.

Honda is planning to initially sell around 3000-4000 units of the car each month. The car received a thundering applause during its debut in Delhi’s Auto Expo. It was also displayed at the Bangkok Motor Show.

Honda’s first hatchback will be preloaded with a host of advanced features and specifications. These include 1.2 litre engine, electronic powered steering, ABS (Anti lock Brake System), EBD (Electronic brake-force distribution), ESP (Electric Stability Program), Bluetooth connectivity, audio system, high quality speakers among others.

It will be available in attractive colours of pure silver and grape green. It will also come with huge headroom and legroom.

The Honda Brio will give a tough competition to the likes of Toyota Etios, Nissan Micra, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Manza, Ritz, Figo, Swift, Toyota Etios and Chevrolet Beat.
