Mumbai: Samsung’s debut tablet computer will hit the shelves in Europe by October. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab that is based on android 2.2 technology, weighs about 380 grams and is equipped with a screen spanning 7-inches.

It has an inbuilt capacity of 16 GB and expandable memory of 32 GB and a battery that lasts upto 8 hours. .
Other features include the provision of a 1.3 megapixel camera on the upper side to enable video conferencing since one can access the internet on the tab. It also has a 3 megapixel camera on the hind side.
The tab exceeds its closest competitor iPad from Apple in the ability to allow the user to make phone calls.
In addition, the tab can come handy in viewing movies in either of DivX, MPEG-4, WMV or Xvid formats and reading e-books.
New Delhi: To take final decision on BlackBerry services in India, Union Home secretary GK Pillai will be meeting key officials from National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO), Intelligence Bureau and the Department of Telecom (DoT) today.

BlackBerry is a smartphone that allows users to send and receive data like e-mail through servers located overseas.
It is not clear if RIM officials will be part of the meeting today, though the company has already agreed to let the government intercept the BlackBerry messenger services from September 1.
The reports say that the India government technical teams have had extensive discussions on possible solution to the problem.
Earlier, government demanded that Research in Motion (RIM), the Canadian makers of BlackBerry, to give full access to its email service.
The Home Ministry had told the Telecom Ministry that if the security concerns were not addressed, the service should be stopped immediately.
London: YouTube Sensation: Video of dancing policeman! A video of a troupe of dancing policemen of Thailand posted on 5th August, has become the latest sensation on YouTube.

The video shows the policemen swinging and shimmying their hips. This video has been declared as a major hit by major tabloids.
One of the tabloids even stated in this video “Police set the dance floor on fire.” The video received over 280, 000 viewers yesterday. Tanakorn Doltanakan, Lieutenant-Colonel stated “We never thought it would become this big.”
Over 1,000 viewers have posted their comments as a note of encouragement and appreciation and thereby advising the policemen to perform their act on road.
While there are others who made phone calls to the Tourist Police hotline for complementing the dancing police officers.

New Delhi: ISRO Chairman, K. Radhakrishnan stated, following the participation of 500 private firms in India’s space programme, there is a high chance of ISRO to become risk-sharing partners.

He added “The private industry’s technological and engineering capabilities and ability for mass production are strengths that ISRO leverages.”
While speaking at the inauguration of the second Bengaluru Space Expo 2010 which was held this Wednesday, Mr Radhakrishnan stated that industry was always a key ingredient in ISRO projects be it in producing components, building ground infrastructure or electronic systems for launch vehicles.
Managing Director of Antrix Corporation K.R. Sridhara Murthi stated “The Indian space industry has been largely insulated from the recent global economic crisis and has in fact broadened its horizons considerably during the last two years.”
